It’s hard to believe that the first six months of 2014 are over, done, , Well, one milestone I’m not going to let slip past me is a recap about the reading I’ve done. I’ve read a lot more than I’ve discussed here, an oversight I intend to remedy in 2014, part II. More on what is coming up tomorrow, but today is all about what has gone before.

This poor post has been waiting patiently in the Drafts folder waiting for me to insert Goodreads links to every title mentioned. I thought about just posting without the links, but I am up early, I’ve put on a pot of slow cooking oatmeal and am ready to engage in a round of cut and paste to finish the job.

What were some of your favorite reads so far this year?

Raw Data:

  • 65 books
  • 19,689 pages

By Genre:

A surprising number of these books were ones I want to share, but I understand not every book is for every reader. Here is my attempt at helping you find a book that’s right for you from my 2014 reading. I could have added more but even so it’s a long list. Some books will show up twice, but that’s only because I can’t decide which tag describes them best. Titles in italics are not yet released & those with asterisks are ones I listened to as audiobooks and loved in that format though I switched between audio and print in both cases.:
